I sit in this sunlight with both grief and gratitude. I have walked through the fire of child loss and emerged with a heart devoted to helping others find their way through the darkness. Writing "The Road of Love & Hope" became my solace; it became more than a tribute but a torch to carry love forward. It is my offering to others, a light to hold onto when the world feels dark. My writing chronicles my journey following the unimaginable loss of my daughter Andrea with reflections and profound raw emotions. SPOOKY MEETS A FRIEND
Andrea was a delightful child, an avid reader, and a studious student in school. Her passion for writing was evident from a very early age. She wrote weekly, detailed, and vivid newspaper reports for her local high school. She loved animals of all kinds and was a horseback rider for many years. Andrea wrote “Spooky Meets a Friend” as a high school assignment in grade 10, a cute story inspired by her own cat, Spooky. It is a story with a real-life lesson in the importance of friendship and sharing. The topic of this work represents not only her love and talent for writing but also her desire to help others.
After graduating from college, Andrea demonstrated her compassion through her chosen profession as a Social Worker. She dedicated her life to working with the youth of our community, and through her gentle and loving approach, encouraged her students and others around.
On December 20, 2011 a tragic car accident took Andrea's life. She left behind her two years old son Tristan. I decided to share her story not only to celebrate her creativity but to honor the beautiful heart she brought into this world. It is my most incredible privilege to have her book published and to keep her light shining for others to see. The support of this children's book will enhance your child's early literacy and Andrea's legacy will continue.
